The PTFE membrane Syringe Filters are classified in two categories, hydrophobic and hydrophilic as PTFE membrane has two different properties.

The Hydrophobic membrane is chemically resistant to all solvents, acids and bass. The membrane is very low in extractables and has an excellent thermal stability.

The hydrophilic membrane is compatible with water solution. Hydrophilic PTFE membrane is unsupported membrane that ideal for HPLC and mixtures of aqueous and organic solvents. Unsupported membrane means non-reinforced, single-ply thin membrane which has no support ability. 

PTFE syringe filters are available in 3 sizes, 13mm, 25mm and 30mm diameters.
